Dhruvangal Pathinaaru

Just finished a mysterious tamil crime thriller, 'Dhruvangal Pathinaaru'.

A crime story enfolding from a cop's point of view, takes you to another world of possibilities of the various crimes and other associated incidents happened one night at Coimbatore.

The film starts from the very moment and keeps you guessing all the time with various theories about 'what would have happened', similar to the thought process of investigating team. Being surrounded by many characters and simultaneous events happening, you need to be very focused and keep noticing every scattered incidents, which finally makes sense during the climax, as the tagline of the movie says, 'every detail counts'.

Completely blown away by a debutant director Karthick Naren, a 22 years guy, who has scripted this film with an entirely different perspective, along with engaging screenplay and  fashbacks. The visuals of rains and the dark night frames are beautiful. As the film starts with the statement, 'life is unpredictable', it gives a slight idea about unpredictability of the film too.

If you are in love with breathtaking and engaging thrillers, with an unexpected twists, this gem is not to be missed for its different treatment, unlike other typical crime thrillers.
